The Office of Administrative Hearings is the state agency responsible for adjudicating disputes regarding the commonwealth's environmental regulations with the goal of protecting public health and welfare.
The office is comprised of two sections:
- The Hearing Section employs the environmental administrative hearing officers who hear the cases and make written recommendations to the secretary of the cabinet.
- The Docket Section is the legal support staff for the hearing officers.
